Badger Club: A Springtime Boost for Homeschool Families

As the school year begins to wind down, homeschool families often find themselves looking for something to spark fresh enthusiasm—something hands-on, active, and social. That’s where Badger Club comes in.
Hosted by The Yutzy School, Badger Club is a fun program designed especially for homeschoolers ages 6 to 15, offering an opportunity to gather, connect, and learn together during the final stretch of the school year.
What Is Badger Club?
Badger Club: Afternoon Activities is a twice-weekly program that blends creative learning with fun, fellowship, and movement. Held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00–2:15 pm, each session begins with a bring-your-own lunch and active recess games, followed by a themed discovery activity designed to spark curiosity and collaboration.
From building marble mazes to cracking spy codes to launching homemade inventions, every day brings something new. It’s a place where kids can try something hands-on, be active, and make new friends—all in a welcoming, small-group environment.
Who Is It For?
Badger Club is open to any homeschool family with children ages 6–15, whether you're a seasoned homeschooling parent or brand new to the journey. It’s especially helpful for those looking to:
Add variety and excitement to the homeschool routine
Connect with other families in the area
Give kids a chance to work on group projects and practice social skills
Finish the year with fun, meaningful enrichment
Parents are encouraged to stay, connect, and even lend a hand. In fact, the program is completely free as long as a parent remains present.
Why We’re Doing This
At The Yutzy School, we believe learning should be joyful, purposeful, and shared. Homeschooling can be deeply rewarding, but it also comes with moments of burnout or isolation—especially in the spring.
Badger Club is our way of supporting homeschoolers in the community by offering a place to recharge and reengage. It's not about enrolling full-time (though we’re always happy to share more about our school)—it's about building connections, sparking creativity, and celebrating the season of learning together.
